Movement Minutes

These videos were created during the summer months of 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to offer virtual programming. Produced by Aaron Granat, Movement Minutes feature dance artist and program dance/movement therapist Mary Patterson. The collaborative audio script included input from Arielle Buslovich, a rehabilitation psychology intern at the time, and the prompts take into account accessible movement invitations for students living in all kinds of bodies.

We imagined these videos with an early elementary school audience in mind, and we believe students of all ages can benefit from the creative exploration and embodied awareness they encourage. Along with each video, you'll find a set of prompts and/or activities that may further extend learning fostered by the movement exploration. We hope these Movement Minutes will be a valuable asset to the youth in your setting.
